The Independent Media Commission (IMC), on October 18, 2019, held its regular meeting. Following the approval of the agenda, the minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

During the meeting, the IMC has approved the Monitoring Report of Audiovisual Media Service Providers during the 2019 early election campaign. The report with detailed findings from the monitoring of audiovisual media services has already been published on the IMC website.

Regarding the violations identified by the monitoring of Audiovisual Media Service Providers (AMSP) during the 2019 early election campaign, IMC has initiated several legal cases which are related to violations of the legislation of the Independent Media Commission, respectively the Code of Ethics for Media Service Providers, IMC-2016/03 and IMC Regulation-2017/07 for Commercial Audio-Visual Communications as well as Chapter VIII of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo no. 03/L-073, for the implementation of which the IMC is responsible.

The IMC Commission has reviewed all these cases of legal violations. After reviewing it has concluded that all these cases are subjects that have been found in violation of the legislation and decided as follows:

RTK1 - was sanctioned with the measure Reprimand, for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo;

KTV - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 2000 € (two thousand euros), for violation of the Code of Ethics for Audio-Visual Media Service Providers and the Regulation on Commercial Audio-Visual Communications;

Klan Kosova - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 3000 € (three thousand euros), for violating the Code of Ethics for Audio-Visual Media Service Providers and the Regulation on Commercial Audio-Visual Communications;

TV Puls - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 2000 € (two thousand euros), for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo and the Code of Ethics for Audio-Visual Media Service Providers;

TV Herc - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 2000 € (two thousand euros), for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo and the Code of Ethics for Audio-Visual Media Service Providers;

TV Graqanica -  was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 2000 € (two thousand euros), for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo and the Code of Ethics for Audio-Visual Media Service Providers;

TV Most - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 2000 € (two thousand euros), for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo and the Code of Ethics for Audio-Visual Media Service Providers;

Rrokum TV - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 2000 € (two thousand euros), for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo;

TE 7 - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 4000 € (four thousand euros), for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo and the Regulation on Commercial Audio-Visual Communications;

TV 21 - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 1000 € (one thousand euros) for violation of the Regulation on Commercial Audio-Visual Communications;

TV Dukagjini - was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 4000 € (four thousand euros), for violation of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo and the Regulation on Commercial Audio-Visual Communications.
