The Independent Media Commission (IMC) informs the public and representatives of audio-visual media services, that in the meeting held on July 29, 2021, it has decided to TERMINATE the temporary suspension of licenses for Audiovisual Media Service Providers by broadcasting through the network of distribution operators.

While the decision to initiate the procedure for amending and supplementing the Regulation on Audio and Audiovisual Media Service Providers IMC-2017/02 remains in force.

Taking into account the fact that after the initiation of the procedure for amending the Regulation, issues have been noticed which require longer time for evaluation and that the procedures for amending this Regulation and reviewing the licensing criteria require relatively long time and consultation with In other countries, the Commission decided to suspend the issuance of licenses, so that any licensing requirements could be addressed and potential candidates could be provided with broadcasting licenses until the entry into force of the new Regulation.
