On September 17, 2021, the Independent Media Commission (IMC), held its tenth meeting in a row for this year. In this meeting the Commission has reviewed the Draft Regulation for Audio and Audiovisual Media Service Providers. After reviewing the draft, the Commission approved it to be forwarded for public discussion. Based on Article 8 paragraph 2 of the Law on IMC no. 04 / L-44, IMC has publicly invited representatives of audio-visual media services and other interested parties to provide written comments on the above-mentioned draft regulation.

The period open for public written comments is from 27 September 2021 to 15 October 2021.

Also in this meeting the Commission has addressed a request for change of ownership:

• BB Herc - Recommendation for rejection of the request for change of ownership

After reviewing the recommendation of the Executive Office in this case, the Commission concluded that this request did not meet the legal criteria of the IMC and decided to reject the request for change of ownership.
