The Independent Media Commission (IMC) hosted today a meeting of a team of experts within the ODIHR, from the Project Support Team for Electoral Reforms in the Western Balkans.
The topic of discussion was the Report of the EU Election Observation Mission, published in February, respectively the current situation with the implementation of the recommendations from that report.
The ODIHR Project Team for the Support of Electoral Reforms in the Western Balkans announced that they are holding several meetings with the institutions included in the report, in order to inform the relevant stakeholders to what extent work has been done to address the recommendations. of the report and what are the challenges of the institutions in this regard, in order to support the parties involved in the electoral process in Kosovo.
During the meeting, all the recommendations of the report related to the IMC were discussed.
The IMC also informed about the work and activities of the IMC, in monitoring the media during the elections, the problems encountered, the various violations committed by the media and the legal steps taken by the IMC in cases of violations during the elections, the legal framework governing this part as well as the challenges from implementing the report's recommendations.
