Today, the Chairman of the Independent Media Commission (IMC), Mr. Jeton Mehmeti has signed a cooperation agreement with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Radio and Television of Turkey (RTUK), Mr. Abubekir Sahin. The agreement envisages the increase of cooperation between the two regulators through the exchange of personnel in order to share experiences and knowledge during the stay in the respective regulator.
 

Mayor Mehmeti congratulated Mayor Sahi on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of RTUK, also introducing him to the media system of Kosovo, which is characterized by a pluralism of media in terms of language, views and scope. At the meeting, the Chairman of RTUK expressed his satisfaction with the reception of the Kosovo delegation, underlining the common elements between the two regulatory authorities.
 

The IMC delegation, consisting of the Vice-President Mr. Fatih Basha, members Besnik Berisha and Fitim Veliu, as well as the Deputy Chief Executive Mr. Faruk Rexhaj, are continuing the study visit in Ankara by sharing experiences with RTUK staff and experts in the field of protecting children from harmful media content through the use of Artificial Intelligence, in the field of audience measurement and analysis, as well as the role of local platforms for video on demand (VoD).
Tomorrow, the IMC delegation will also visit the public broadcaster of Turkey - TRT.
